This source draws its name from the Roman era.
According to local tradition, the Roman lord Fussiacus established his camp near the source, hence the name of the village of Fussiacus, which became Fuissey and finally Fuissé.
The washhouse and the fountain date from 1722. The washhouse was rebuilt in 1848. This source never goes dry.

Lombard street, a.k.a. "World's crookedest street" as they call it. Lombard street is a street in San Francisco, California and although it spans from Presidio all the way down to Embarcadero it is famous for a very specific portion of it: a steep downhill one block section with 8 (!) hairpin turns within 160 meters between Hyde and Laevenworth street. Unfortunately I couldn't find a decent spot to capture it perfectly but if you take a look at the photo you will notice that the cars that drive down Lombard street have very different directions. Lombard street sits on the side of the Russian hill and the fact that roughtly 2.000.0000 people per year visit it makes it is a very popular tourist attraction among San Francisco's sights. During busy summer weekends it is estimated that cars wait up to 20 minutes just to drive down the crooked part of Lombard street

The Sphinx, Recorded By Edgar-Allan-Poe-Not -
I don’t know what it is about the dimly lit forest that brings me back, time and time again. Maybe I’m wedded to the thrill of toppling over accidental astonishments. On a late Sunday afternoon, I felt the presence of a shadowy stalker in the darkest regions of the woods. We both seem to be on the same path heading to the same destination. Why is that? Pretending that I’m unaware, I slinked one foot briskly ahead of the other and tested by walking in circles instead of straight lines. The unwanted company followed suit and halted whenever I paused. This instant, my sixth sense confirms someone or something is trailing my shoeprints. Catching my breath beneath the low branches where tall grass grows, the soft flutter of wings get bigger. An entity definitely was in the background flitting from tree to tree. It wasn’t a copter drone sent by the National Security Agency for sure. If the lurker chased a wee bit harder I would be within reach. Frozen in fright, my legs were pushed to take flight. I run, run and run. As with any nightmare, you sprint but never speed an inch from where you stand. Disastrously, my pursuer so close finally overtook and reined right in front. In a state of panic, my fingers fumbled to click the camera’s skylight to kill whatever is before me. Eeeek! In the first second, my lenses directly perceived a hideous imp with acute panda ears. The face without eyes let fly a baleful glare that dared me to return his stare. Its devilish grin was so wide, I could be wolfed down alive. In an old voice cruel and flat, he mouthed a monotonous mock, “Monsters don’t live under the bed but inside your head. Cat…! Cat…! Cat…!” Coming next, my pumping heart shudders at the subject caught… oh, I was just viewing a secretive moth with cryptic markings inked on Pepsi-Cola wings!
That day, the sky gave us an absolutely fantastic sunset. The sun's rays stood out in the sky with beautiful colors, the mountain in front of us was all illuminated, it was stunning !

I'm pretty sure, he will not join the concert. But why?
This photo is not intended in the artistic or aesthetic sense. I also do not want to capitalize on the suffering of others. I'm asking why he can not attend a concert.

Light and shadow
We are not very far from the top the Roche de Solutré (Solutre's rock) and the village of Solutre shines in the sun below us, as the shadow imperceptibly grows. White frost has remained intact since the morning and sprinkles the hillsides among some patches of mist.
In the distance, the Mont-Blanc, more and more visible, shines over a sea of clouds that covers the whole plain of the Saône River.
And I'm repeating myself that I did well to go out because i had never seen this place like this! But the most beautiful was yet to come ...

Lying halfway between Lisbon and Oporto in the Beiras region of central Portugal, venerable Coimbra nestles on the banks of the River Mondego in dignified glory. Famed for its university - the oldest in the country - and a fantastic collection of handsome churches, serene monasteries, and lively cultural institutions, Coimbra is also a busy commercial hub with its many shops, boutiques, and appetizing choice of cafés and restaurants. The city center is divided into two neighborhoods, the Lower Town and the Upper Town. Its historic heart lies high above the Mondego on Alcaçova hill, known to the Romans as Aeminium. Here, medieval convents, cathedrals, and some fine museums cluster around the old University. Kings were born in Coimbra; they are entombed here, too. Indeed, it was once the proud capital of the Portuguese nation. This royal heritage permeates the city's steep hills, narrow lanes, and verdant parks, all of which are best explored on foot. And exploration further afield is rewarded with the largest and most compelling Roman site in Portugal, and an emerald-hued forest of enchanting allure and breathtaking beauty.
In terms of historic significance and romantic beauty, Coimbra is second only to Lisbon and Oporto. Its ancient buildings cling to the side of the hill that rises above the curves of the river Mondego, the ornate buildings of the famous University of Coimbra are its crowning glory. We are accessing the old part of the city through the Arco de Almedina, we find the old cathedral known as Se Velha. The most picturesque way to enter Coimbra's labyrinth of lanes is via Arco de Almedina. Coimbra's upper town rises quickly and picturesquely from the banks of the Rio Mondego. Photo taken from Hotel Astória.
